Becca Ironside, PT, MSPT | Physical Therapist
Becca Ironside graduated with her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 1998. She moved from Philadelphia to Brooklyn and began her very first job in a community hospital. Becca worked with many people in Brooklyn who would influence her future.
Throughout the last two decades, Becca has worked in hospitals, nursing homes, child care centers and in the homes of her patients. She found one of her greatest passions in the field of Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. Becca has a special interest in the male Pelvic Floor and treats diagnoses such as urinary leakage, erectile dysfunction, chronic male pelvic pain syndrome and the aftercare of men following prostate surgery.
When she is not working with women and men to support their pelvic health, Becca treats the veterans of WWII in their homes. She delights in looking at their wedding albums and admiring their war medals. Becca is also a novelist and hosts a community blog about various aspects of caring for the sick and elderly. You can find her at BeccaIronside.com.
Becca is thrilled to be part of the Connect PT team. After all, she met these same people at her very first job in Brooklyn, years ago. "Working here feels like coming back home after a very long trip," Becca says. "The stories will always change. But the feeling of being with work family never does."
